The Reach
Description The Reach is a body of water separating the mainland from Goat Island, where Stella Flanders has lived her whole life. She remembers the past and present, but is more than a little frightened when she starts seeing her long-dead husband more and more often. Her persuades her to walk over the reach when it has frozen over for the winter, and once she reaches the mainland she dies, in the company of her long-dead friends.
