I always loved QL. This episode was great. Very surprising the first time I saw it on TV. I'd like to see Scott Bakula someday in a SK movie.

I'm a big fan of Quantum Leap and Stephen King. This is a good episode, but not the best. In fact it's cheesy at times, but the Stevie King reference is good. It's also a good mystery/horror episode, considering this is a drama/adventure series. I've got to accept the ending was a complete surprise the first time I saw it on TV. Chris Ruppenthal, the writer of this episode, was an Outer Limits and X-files writer too. He also knows Steven Weber (King's The Shining), so he had the chance to
introduce King to Ruppenthal once, at the time Revelations of Becka Paulson was being adapted as an Outer Limits episode as I recall.
I haven't ever seen any picture of a young Stephen King, but Quantum Leap always try to bring its famous characters as they really were in the past, like Elvis Presley or Lee Harvey Oswald. Even a good replica of Dr. Heimlich,so I guess Stevie was really like that at 17. I'm not talking about the little stutering or the passive behavior (according with On
Writing, this is completely different), but maybe physically. Good.
This episode introduced me to King. I didn't know who that referenced guy was the first time I saw the run, but then I started to search for him and found a lot of amazing books. I'm glad I discovered him.

I have DVR and not 15 minutes before I was about to watch the recorded Boogieman episode, the show deleted itself

One of my favorite series from yesteryear. can't believe it's 16 years since the first season. Remember this one quite well and was wondering when it will ge to this site. Wonder no more. Thought Dean Stockwell did a good job showing the sinister side of that innocent cherubic face, something he would put to good use again some six years later after this episode as the creepy villain in Twilight Man.
