Why'd f*ck (chinga)? King says he didn't know this (yea sure ;-)), but it fits - the doll f*cks up the town, and even Mulder/Scully usual roles are reversed.
BTW This episode looks a bit like a "Child's Play" rip-off but it's well written so it doesn't really matter.

Im a huge Stephen King fan. I have read every single book and watched all his movies as well. He is the best storyteller of my generation and I think he will be for many generations to come!

To SCM:
In King's original script (which I owe, and is pretty different from this filmed version which Chris Carter took a lot of rewriting in), the girl's doll was named Chinga. It isn't named in the filmed version.
But King apparently didn't know that Chinga also means ... well, you know.
When this episode aired outside US, it got another title.
