SKSM: Could you start with telling me a little bit about yourself? Who are you and what do you do?
Darshan Sangha: My name is Darshan Sangha, I have been part of a few business ventures, I am care taker and have always been supportive of film and TV projects happening in Northern BC.
SKSM: When did you know you wanted to become an actor?
Darshan Sangha: I have always had many interests including film and acting. As well as wanting to do behind the scenes work. Whenever anyone was shooting a project here in Northern BC, I was always eager to be a part of it and I have been an extra, held a boom mic and have done some camera work, all while helping with independent film projects.
SKSM: How did you become involved in The Doctor’s Case Dollar Baby film?
Darshan Sangha: I had seen on soical media they where rasing capital for the Doctors Case and contacted the appropriate parties, expressing my exuberance in wanting to help.
SKSM: What do you think it is about the story that attracts people so much?
Darshan Sangha: It is a Steven King story which are always compelling, combined with a talented, hard working, and merriment group of people with the goal of seeing the Doctors Case come to life. An attraction toward this film is inevitable.
SKSM: Did you have to audition for the part or was it written directly for you?
Darshan Sangha: Neither I helped in other capacities and was more than happy to do so.
SKSM: You worked with James Douglas on this film, how was that?
Darshan Sangha: James was very welcoming towards me and was a very giving to anyone who was supportive of the Doctors Case. He gave directions well and handle any problems that arised in a positivist manner.
SKSM: Was there any funny or special moment when they made the movie that you would like to tell me about?
Darshan Sangha: The scene I was an extra in, was one of a female character giving birth surrounded by males witnessing this. In real life it was not an actual baby. Still myself and all the others had to react as if it was new born human. I did think of a joke or two but I refrained from saying anything. The whole experience was special.
SKSM: Do you still have any contact with the crew/cast from that time? If so with who?
Darshan Sangha: I have contact with key people who made the Doctors Case movie possible and whenever I visit the great town of Barkville ( where it partly filmed) I see others who where part of the film.
SKSM: What are you working on nowadays?
Darshan Sangha: I am pursuing a E Commerce business and I am always trying to find ways to support and be part of Barker Street Cinema future projects. I did help with behind the scenes work for Wick Ways filmed in June 2019.
SKSM: Are you a fan of Stephen King’s work?
Darshan Sangha: Yes The Green Mile and Shawshank Redemption are my two personal favorites.
SKSM: What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
Darshan Sangha: I may not be as unassuming as some may think. But I am friendly.
